Frequently asked questions
We are mainly open-air, with small section under cover in case the weather decides not to play.
We are a walk-in venue and don't book tables in advance. Please just turn up on the day. On busy nights (Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays) please arrive early to secure a table.
Don't panic! Your booking will be kept for you until you arrive. You don't need to let us know if you're stuck in traffic or the bus has broken down, we'll see you when you get here and will accommodate you as much as possible.
Accompanied children (under 18s) are welcome until 5pm on weekends only. We cannot permit under 18s on our rooftop during the week, unfortunately.
Only those aged 14+ are able to take part in a game of Sluggers and Bowls, and those of any age can enjoy a game of Birdies.
You can see our transfer policy below! All games aside from Sluggers (only) will go ahead in all weather conditions. In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will be notified via email at least 3 hours prior to the event when possible. Please do be aware that weather can sometimes suddenly change and prevent us from giving notice. In the event of dangerous weather, Roof East reserves the right to cancel the event and reschedule to a new date for which all tickets will be transferred. Where a rescheduled date is not available, all tickets from the original cancelled booking will be valid for another day of the ticket holder's choice, subject to availability.
Please note, we do not offer refunds in the event of rain.
To reschedule your game, create an account here under the email address used to make your booking. Your tickets will appear and you'll just need to hit the blue 'TRANSFER' button. You'll be taken to our website where you can add your desired tickets to your basket and checkout with your existing order converted into credit. You can reschedule your booking (for free!) up until 12 noon on the day of your event.
Please note, we do not offer refunds.
Unfortunately, we do not have screens on our rooftop, and so we will not be showing any matches.
Entry to the rooftop is free.
From July 19th 2021, we are implementing the following:
ON ARRIVAL: The government's Track and Trace check-in system is still available if you wish to use it, but it is optional
FACE COVERINGS: Our staff will continue to wear face coverings. You are not required to wear a face mask, but we do encourage you to be mindful of other people in communal areas.
FOOD AND DRINK ORDERING: We now have both table and counter service in place. You can order your drinks at the bar or via a QR code on the table. Food is ordered directly from food traders.
HAND WASHING/ SANITISER: Hand washing facilities and hand sanitiser is still available to staff and guests.
VENUE CLEANING: Our communal areas and tables are cleaned regularly.
Yes you can, following on the latest Government announcement, there are no restrictions on numbers you can meet. We also have various Private Hire options you can read about here.
We operate under the “Challenge 25” policy. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked to show your ID.
Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include: a photo driving licence, a passport, a proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.
